"I just say it's honest," says London-born artist John Glacier, when asked to describe her sound. "I make honest music.". It was writing that first hooked a young John growing up in Hackney, considering it a form of therapy. The poetry organically and gradually led to music and production: her SoundCloud becoming a deep pool of one-take recordings and raw emotion.

Glacier and producer Vegyn first connected through a mutual social reticence at parties, both preferring to hang at the back. It was the initial spark of an artistic collaboration – they shared a studio, and embryonic musical ideas, and the result was a fully fledged project, SHILOH: Lost For Words, released in 2021 on PLZ Make It Ruins.
